A little bonus content in my creative free time.

A JUUL IN THE ROUGH

A mockumentary on the increasing ubiquity of nicotine vapes and the absurdity of the culture that has grown around it. Playing Cloudy Airheart was the challenge and privilege of my acting career.

UNNATURAL CONNECTIONS

An exhibition in Denver where monstrous puppet-lamps, and their bios, show us the difference between how we see ourselves, and how we choose to present that image to the world.

EXcERPTS FROM THE ‘BACKWASH’ ZINE

An exercise in catharsis. Some friends and I tried to unpack our experience of the BLM protests and the violence we witnessed in the summer of 2020.

WRITE A VERSE IN 30 MINUTES

Some buddies and I asked ourselves, what if the Hash Slinging Slasher from Spongebob had
a musical number? Quick! It’d probably sound something like this. (My verse is 1:40 - 2:40)

the boneyard

Favorite moments from campaigns now gone, but not forgotten.

 CARMEX ~ THE DEAD ACTIVATION

I wrote and recorded a silly little jingle for the Carmex campaign, we just couldn’t figure out how to visualize it. So hear it is for your optional listening pleasure.

WALLA WALLA, WA ~ EASY, EASY

A campaign whose lines pair nicely with a morning cup of coffee. The couplet style shows the dualities buried beneath the hidden gem of Washington state.

Manifesto:

Walla Walla is the end of an unpaved road that took generations to find. This is the city that sleeps well. The city where the Un-natural has its own museum. Where a glass is half full no matter how many times you hear “bottoms up!”, and subtle comes in twos.

We don’t need people to think we’re the best, because when you know something it doesn’t require much thought at all. When you take things easy, they come easy too.

More Headlines:

Eyes sweeping vistas like winds along mainstreet // Dormant laughter behind the arch of an eyebrow.

Time floats by to the rhythm of birdsong // The moments that last long after they’ve passed.

Comfort in the crease of another’s palm lines // the quiet transformation from stones
into sand.
